Ingosstrakh paid RUB 501.4 million to the international retailer

The payment was effected due to the property damage resulting from the fire in the warehouse of Globus hypermarket in Vladimir.

The hypermarket equipment was insured under the general conditions of the industrial and commercial enterprises against the risks of fire, lightning, gas explosion, natural disasters, water damage, burglary and theft, robbery and malicious actions of third parties.

The incident occurred in May 2014. The ignition of stock and finishing occurred in the warehouse of Globus hypermarket in Vladimir. Fire destroyed the warehouse building, foodstuffs and consumer goods. Stock in the trading area and the tenants' property also sustained considerable damage.

The surveyor company LABB LLC was involved in order to estimate the damage. Following the analysis of submitted documents the case was ascertained as the insured one. The indemnity was effected in the total amount of RUB 501,4 million. The amount of damage was agreed with the Insured, the loss was settled completely and finally.
