The date of the Vendée Globe, set for 10 November, is drawing near. After months of work during which Samantha Davies and her technical team fully reviewed and optimised their boat Savéol - a 60-foot monohull, it has been ready for action at Port La Forêt since 1 September. The 60 foot boat is now equipped for sailing around the world. |

Launching the boat, boat self-righting test, medical training, IMOCA training courses, safety briefings, weather training courses - such is the Samantha Davies programme prior to loading the boat (8 Oct.) and then the grand departure to Les Sables (18 October) and finally the kick-off of the Vendée Globe on 10 Nov.
The countdown has started.
