November Business Meetings of Reinsurers in Moscow - 2012

On 22-23 November 2012, November Business Meetings of Reinsurers took place in Moscow for the 11th time. The organizer of the event was the Reinsurers' Committee of the All-Russian Insurance Association (ARIA); the co-organizer of the event was the Delovoy Format group.

This year, the hystorical building of the former Trade House of the Moscow Merchant’s Society in the centre of Moscow was chosen for hosting the Meetings. 

The participants were 329 representatives from 146 companies of 24 countries: Armenia, Bahrein, Belarus, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Kazakhstan, Korea, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Sudan, Sweeden, Switzerland, Ukrain, Uzbekistan, UAE, USA.

45 companies joined the Meetings for the first time this year. One can note that a number of foreign participants increased in comparison with the previous years.

The unique format of the event allowed the participants to conduct the highest number of business meetings and presentations of reinsurance programms and products and expert services in the single venue during the full two days.

The master classes were organized for the first time in the NBM's history:

"Peculiarities of underwriting of insurance/re-insurance policies for Hazardous Industrial Objects" (Ingosstrakh's practical examples). Speaker: Andrey V. Kopytok, Deputy head of Liability insurance division, Head of HIO insurance section, Ingosstrakh.

"Peculiarities of adjustment of major industrial losses". Speakers:

• Aleksey V. Lebedev, General director, Matthews Daniel International Rus, Chairman of Educational Committee of National Association of Insurance Adjusters,
• Sergey S. Vasilenko, Property claims director, LABB.

Ingosstrakh acted as a traditional general partner of the Meetings.
